Hectic day in Lusaka as another con man tries to run away with my zmk 190,000

This had been a hectic month for me after one Paul conned me Zmk 190,000, but I thank God I recovered the whole money—this is what happened to me.

I was browsing online and saw an advert on one of the popular sites from Paul that he was selling a bar in Northmead for K 350,000. I had to run with the deal because I had yearned to own a bar for long.

I therefore called Paul that afternoon and we agreed to meet in Lusaka CBD the following Thursday. That Thursday as I was about to travel, he told me he was in another meeting but we will meet briefly so that he could show me the premises.

I arrived in the CBD at around 10hrs and called him. Few minutes later he came and told me to accompany him to one of the hotels in the CBD near Manda hill. He ordered tea as we discussed the deal.

It was during the talk that revealed why he was selling the pub. He told me that he is about to relocate to the USA permanently and wants to sell some of his properties.

“You’re fortunate you’ll be the owner of this bar, I make K13,000 to k 28,000 per day and it’s strategically positioned. This is a very good idea for you and you won’t regret,” he assured.

After discussing this for 30 minutes, he assured me he would be back upon completion of the meeting. He asked whether I can transfer some deposit of k 190,000 with him.

“Just send some deposit because so many guys want this bar,” he told me before leaving for the meeting.

I decided to secure that chance with the deposit he had asked from me as he proceeded to the meeting. I was no longer doubting him.

I waited for him for 50 minutes before I started developing fear. I actually became impatient and decided to enter the meeting room. Shockingly. There was nobody in the room.

I called him through his phone but it had been switched off. I then called MTN customer care for my refund but it was too late. Paul had already withdrawn the money. I thought the world was ending as I tried to recollect what had just happened.

I boarded a bus and went back home.

As I was figuring out the next step while talking to my friends, one of them told me that the same thing happened to him and he managed to get hold of the con man. He told me he would reveal what he did in private.
