A Katuba car mechanic was on Tuesday caught in a compromising position with a prominent nusery school principal in an abandoned car garage.
The mechanic identified as Kaumba is said to have been targeting his women clients whom he offers free services but to be paid in kind.
According to Kaumba’s workmates, every time he was not at work, his clients would accept to be attended to by someone else.
“Kaumba has endeared himself to his clients in such a way that they cannot be served by any other mechanic in this garage. Most of his clients are women,” a workmate confided.
He added that most of the time Kaumba would report to work with different cars, owned by his clients and on other occasions, a particular client who is a lady would pick Kaumba up from work.
“We became suspicious and thought we should follow up with Kaumba and get to know who his clients are because they would not trust us offering them services when Kaumba was not around,” another workmate said.
The workmate said that his efforts to find out who the lady who picked Kaumba from work bore no fruit but managed to get to know the lady’s husband and they became friends.
“Through the lady’s husband, I came to understand that the lady was a high school principal of one of the best-performing schools in the country,” he said, adding that the lady’s husband complained to him about how his wife was becoming promiscuous.
Kaumba’s workmate said that the lady’s husband told him that he had laid a trap for his wife after he sought the services of traditional herbalist Dr Mawanda.
“After two days we witnessed Kaumba and the high school principal stuck in an abandoned garage, adjacent to our garage. Dr Kaumba’s charm really worked,” he said.
According to other eyewitnesses including other high school principals, the two lovebirds were separated by Dr Kaumba.
