Mr. Lawrence Ng’andwe says he was employed nine years ago and he has been working as a supervisor in the Transport and Maintenance department for all those years without being promoted or getting any salary increment. Ng’andwe who spoke with a lot of stress says, in as much as he reported to work earlier and went back home late, he was considered as nothing as nobody appreciated or recognized his devotion at work.

Ng’andwe said he was disappointed when the new staff were employed and were promoted leaving him as a supervisor. ” I wondered how the new members were deployed to replace the staffs who had retired, some who had died, and others quitting jobs at top management leaving me behind. I was very much devastated and I was ready to quit my job to look for anything else to do.” Ng’andwe said.

Ng’andwe said he was tired and was ready to leave the job and go back home for all the mistreatment he went through at the University. He says he shared his side of the story with his friends before making a final decision to quit his job. But he was very lucky when he got a piece of advice from his friend who had previously struggled to get a job promotion at his workplace and finally got it after getting assistance from Dr. Mawanda, a traditional doctor from Chiengi District, Luapula.
